Wooo! I finally got my bike mended (by the nice people at Push) and can now boast a full set of non-broken back spokes and a fixed up bottom bracket. Thanks dudes! Good to be able to razz about on it once more.

Now my bike has gears and brakes, is a bit of a workhorse and isn't exactly pretty to look at but it is comfy, gets me into town for free and makes my legs feel like I've used them. I'm far too uncool for fixed wheels and single speeds. Although they do look nice, some of the people who ride them sadly do not (I'm not going to use the H word...)

Anyway here's the first in my "ladies on bikes" series with utmost thanks to Morten's finest.

I've been unusually busy over the last month and now is the time to reveal the first part of this Novemberic drawing odyssey.

First off we have a christmas piece for Brussels Airlines inflight magazine about christmas and how this writer dude hates it. I love christmas but that's another story. Click on the illos below for eye shattering detail, big vision AND for the first time on this blog COLOUR.

If you had the copy you'd no doubt be amazed by my ability to pick bits of sentences and then make them into pictures, like the bit with the drunk dad and the non-needle shedding xmas tree, but as you don't I should at least explain one thing. Mao is at the office party because the writer, who has a red face due to some dodgy moisturiser, got a shirt/jacket hybrid, a "shacket" if you will, from his girlfriend one christmas and wearing said "shacket" apparently gave him the look of a man who, thanks to Big Train, will always make me think of Virginia Plain by Roxy Music. You can see for yourself here.

Matt Smith IS the 11th Doctor Who or at least will be by the time my girlfriend gets back from her far east adventurings.

I can already imagine his face looming out of the TV giving a Sylvester McCoy style wink. Fingers crossed eh?

The Doctor's new Dalston geography teacher look is apparently doing wonders for the Harris Tweed industry (one of my favourite industries) so let's just hope that the Photoshop 3 rendered new logo will do the same for brush metal effects and lens flare.
